Shandong Province is one of the three major ceramic producing areas in China. The quality and color of Shandong tiles have been greatly improved since 2012, with the popularity of inkjet printing technology in Shandong; the superior cost advantage attracts a large number of foreign buyers and exporters to come and purchase. Full polished glazed tiles, antique tiles and inkjet tiles exports increase rapidly.

Since 2012, Zibo tiles have maintained double-digit export growth (+39.12% in the first half of 2013; + 30.8% in that of 2014; +21.36% in the first quarter of 2014 with a continuous growth in the second quarter). Shandong has achieved breakthrough that Shandong tiles exports reach 160 million U.S. dollars, which occupy 5.03% (3.43% last year) of total Chinese tiles exports, ranking 3rd nationally after Fujian Province.

It is learned that, in order to further promote the export of Shandong tiles, the 2nd Zibo Ceramic Export Forum will be held on September 6th, 2014. At present, overseas purchasing groups from Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, America etc have signed up for this forum, as well as several domestic export trading companies. The forum serves as a powerful way to promote Zibo ceramics to foreign markets.
