Welcome to Ceramic Town Weekly News Channel. Today we are gonna talk about Fujian production region, which is another important ceramic production region in China. Recently, an important ceramic conference was held there. Let’s have a look.
On January 6, 2021 Fujian Ceramic Industry Development Conference was held in Jinjiang, Fujian. More than 300 people, including enterprise owners and operators of Mingsheng Ceramics, Baoda Group, Jianhua Ceramics, Guoxing Tiles, etc., as well as ceramic technical experts attended the event.
In 2020, there were over 50 thick tile production lines operating in Fujian, which is doubled than that of 2019. As thick tiles can be used in different outdoor spaces such as rail stations, sidewalks, commercial squares, external walls of buildings, etc., there is a huge market for it.
Wu Sixu, General Manager of Jianhua Ceramics, said at the conference: "I learned from some natural stone enterprises that Fujian provided 200 million square meters of thick tiles globally in 2020. They expect that the market scale of thick tiles will reach 1 billion square meters in 2021."
Xu Ping, a senior ceramic technical expert, said: "Fujian has the largest stone base in China, named Shuitou, which is not far away from Fujian production region, so Fujian ceramic manufacturers have a deeper understanding of natural stones, which is better than that of manufacturers in Foshan."
In addition to thick tiles, a great number of enterprises in Fujian also made a considerable profit by manufacturing wood tiles. At present, Fujian has become the largest production base of wood tiles in China.
