New Changes Taken Place in Sichuan Tile Production Base in 2014

The year of 2014 witnessed much hardship in China ceramic tile industry, while Sichuan tile production base has undergone big changes.


The Biggest Ceramic Wall Tile Manufacturing Line Into Production

In last March, the ceramic wall tile line with over 1,000 meter long kiln was first put into operation, producing 45,000 sq. m. tiles daily. It’s the biggest ceramic wall tile line in western China with a yearly output value of over 200 million RMB.


Full Polished Glazed Tile Being the Focus

Since the beginning of 2014, full polished glazed tile has been hot in market. Especially for enterprises in Jiajiang and Danleng of Sichuan, full polished glazed tiles have brought great profits, which attracted large amount of tile manufacturers to increase or rebuild full polished glazed tile lines. To the end of 2014, the number of full polished glazed tile lines reached 20 in Sichuan. Now there are 3 lines under construction, and it is expected to be 30 lines this year.


Tile Daily Ouput Reached 2.6675 million sq. m.

According to statistics, there were 243 ceramic tile production lines in Sichuan with a daily output of 2.6675 million sq. m. Ceramic wall tile, rustic tile and exterior wall tiles were of biggest output in Jiajiang production base, of which the daily output were respectively 458,000 sq. m. , 299,000 sq. m. , 184,000 sq. m.


Full Application of Inkjet Printers

Since the introduction of the first inkjet printer in 2011, Sichuan had owned over 170 inkjet printers in just 3 years, which mostly were distributed in Jiajiang, Danleng, Weiyuan and Hongya.More and more manufacturers chose to bring in inkjet printers; the most important reason was that the ink price was dropping, which fell to around 80,000 RMB/ ton, much lower than before. It’s told that inkjet printers was introduced to the production of ceramic wall tiles, full polished glazed tiles, rustic tiles, exterior wall tiles and motif as well as borders.
