Sichuan Province, Land of Abundance, is also home to the biggest ceramic production base --- Jiajiang Production Area in western China. Have you ever heard that Jiajiang is also known as “Ceramic Capital in Western China”? Next Mr. CTW is going to talk about the details.

With 83 ceramic enterprises, 136 production lines and a daily output of 1.3885 million square meters, Jiajiang accounts for over 50% of the total tiles production and lines in Sichuan, as the biggest ceramic production base in Sichuan, even in western China.

According to the table, ceramic plaques, rustic tiles and exterior wall tiles possess the biggest output in Jiajiang. Up to the end of September in 2014, 13 full polished glazed tile lines have been established with a daily output of 12, 6000 sqm. Besides, there are 11 production lines under construction, including 4 full polished glazed tile lines.

However, in recent years, the ceramic industry in Jiajiang has been restricted by low capacity, outmoded equipment and poor management. According to most professionals, to upgrade the ceramic industry in Jiajiang, updating the equipment is a must.

Inkjet printing technology has been widespread in Jiajiang. At present, 94 inkjet printers have been in use in producing ceramic plaques, microcrystalline tiles, full polished glazed tiles, rustic tiles and so on, and that number of printers is expected to reach 100 by the end of 2014.
